Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has put the world on edge, and despite the availability of vaccines, the disease still remains a significant threat. Ayurveda, the ancient Indian system of medicine, offers a range of medicinal plants that can help boost immunity and fight off infections. This paper explores the use of Ayurvedic medicinal plants in preventing and treating COVID-19. The research conducted is based on a review of existing literature on the topic. The findings indicate that certain Ayurvedic plants such as tulsi, Ashwagandha, turmeric, ginger, amla, amalaki and giloy possess immune-boosting properties that can help combat COVID-19. These plants can be used in teas, capsules, or powders, and their efficacy can be enhanced when combined with other herbs. Further research is required to determine these plants’ optimal dosage and delivery mechanisms.
